IntelliJ “Annotate” option is not working


Your VCS is not enabled. For that reason, this issue is raised. Solution is given below:

  1. From menu bar, Click on the VCS option
  2. Enable VCS  
  3. Select your version control. For my case it is “Git”
  4. Done. Now you will be able to use the annotate option
